Speed Bumps to Slow Laziness

Our brains crave easy options.

It’s not us. Blame evolution.

Here is a good “speed bump” to halt this default laziness of ours:

Decision making systems.

These can be check lists, a bunch of questions, a morning journal, a routine, a tree diagrams, a few meaningful people to be accountable to ….

These systems push alternatives in front of our faces. Systems make questions look less familiar.

And that’s when we might begin to think.

The same can be applied to our teams. Decision making system are good ways to slow down group think, instil critical thinking, and potentially improve creativity.

Fight laziness, speed-bump evolution, and #bossbetter
