We understand that if we sign ourselves up for a Marathon, we will need to train for it, if you plan to finish it.
The same is true for management. We need to train for it, if you plan to get good at it.
How can we make this training more precise?
One way is to frame every single meeting as our leadership “races/games”:
1 on 1 meeting.
Meetings you lead.
Meetings you participate.
Zoom, in person, what not.
Every meeting is an opportunity for you to put leadership theories into action.
Every meeting is an opportunity to set goals.
Every hour you spend in a meeting adds to the 10,000 hours of deliberate practice.
Work diligently and #bossbetter.
