The below email blew up on Facebook. I feel bad for the person who sent it.
The fact that he felt it was ok to send it said more about the company culture than his own attitude.
Plus, he probably never had the guidance on how to express empathy appropriately.
Why do I choose to look at him this way?
Well, as the “Hanlon’s razor” rule of thumb states, “never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”
And I think we are all stupid in many occasions.
